Acıpayam
Acıpayam, formerly known as Garbikarağaç or Karaağaç, is a district of Denizli province, located in the southeast of the Aegean Region. The population of the district is 55,141 people as of December 31, 2021 according to TURKSTAT data. With an area of 1628 km², it is the largest district of Denizli. Although tobacco cultivation is predominant in this region, the word "payam" in its name is also derived from almond production. It has also made a name for itself with its local dish called "goku".
