Akseki
Akseki is a district of Antalya province. Akseki, whose old name was Marla, was founded on the Taurus Mountains. It is known that societies have lived in the district, which later passed under Seljuk and Ottoman rule, since the Roman Empire periods. After the battle of Malazgirt, the Turkish presence increased day by day and more and more Turks belonging to the Afshar tribe of the Sons settled. Akseki, which was separated from Alanya in 1872, became an independent sanjak within the Antalya Konya Province in 1901. In the meantime, the borders of Akseki district were narrowed and some villages were left to Seydisehir district. İbradı, which was previously a town, was separated from Akseki by becoming a district in 1991.
