Aksu (Antalya)
Aksu is one of the central districts of Antalya. Muratpaşa, Kepez and Döşemealtı districts are located in the west and Serik districts in the east. As of the end of 2022, its population was 77,623. The district is also connected to the Mediterranean Sea with a small coastline and Burdur province is located in the north. The district was formed in 2008 by bringing together many neighborhoods scattered in the north-south direction to the east of the central district. The center of the district is west of Aksu Stream. The current district center has developed due to various factors such as being on the Antalya - Alanya road, being the market of all the villages in the vicinity, the former Anatolian Teacher's School and being close to the yarn factory. In 2008, after it became the district center, branches of various banks started to operate in the region.
The district economy is based on agriculture and tourism. The ancient city of Perge, Kurşunlu Waterfall, EXPO 2016 Exhibition Center are located within the borders of the district.
