Bayındır
This settlement is one of the important points between Ephesus and Sard on the King's Road. It was determined that the ruins of the ruined castle known as Bayındır Castle to the north of the present Ergenli village were the first settlements. Researches reveal that the region was under the sovereignty of the Hittites in 2000 BC, Phrygians and Lydians in 700 BC, Roman Empire in 300 BC, Eastern Rome after the Roman Empire was divided into two in 395 BC, Seljuks after 1084, Aydınoğulları in 1308-1425 and Ottomans from 1425 onwards. Bayındır is a district of Izmir province in Turkey. It is bordered by Kemalpaşa to the north, Torbalı to the west, Tire to the south, Ödemiş to the east and Manisa to the northeast.
