Bayramiç
Located in the south of Çanakkale, 63% of Bayramiç is covered with forests. It is famous for its apples, olives, pears, almonds and peaches. Summers are hot and dry, winters are cold but rainy compared to the Mediterranean climate. Bayramiç has a special place among the districts with its nature and mythology. The region, which was first settled in ancient times, came under the rule of Karesi Principality in 1308 and Ottoman rule in 1356. During this period, the name "Bayram İçi", which means the place of feast, transformed into "Bayramiç" in time and became a district in 1902.
