Çobanlar
Çobanlar is a district of Afyonkarahisar Province. It is known that the history of the region dates back to the Old Bronze Age, as can be understood from the mounds on the side of the Akarçay River. The ancient city of Anabura was established in today's Kocaöz Village. The Artemis statue in the Afyon Archeology Museum was excavated here. Agriculture and animal husbandry in the district has come to an end. A very comprehensive regional animal market should be built in the district by the municipality and the provincial council. In this way, it will be possible to organize and develop district animal husbandry. The land of the district is suitable for extension and livestock development is required. The residents of the district earn their living from agriculture and cattle breeding. Shepherds, whose lands are mostly irrigated, is the beet warehouse of Afyon Sugar Factory. Beet cultivation takes the first place in agriculture. There are two privately owned flour factories and one textile factory in the district. The most interesting vehicle of the Turkish automotive industry is also produced in this small town. Trailer-pickup mixed vehicles called Patpat, which are used in transportation and agricultural works, are manufactured in the small workshops of the district.
