Doğanyol
Doğanyol is a district of Malatya.
In 1990, the history of Doğanyol district, which gained district status, dates back to ancient times. It is said to have been founded 500 years ago as a village, and to have been a municipality and district for 80 years. Although the old name of Doğanyol is mentioned as "Keferdiz", it is mentioned as "Kefersut" and "Kefersük" in the sources.
During the Ottoman Empire, Doğanyol was part of the Kahta district of the current Adıyaman province, and was later annexed to Elazığ province, and after the Republic of Turkey, to Malatya province.
While the settlement was a town of Pütürge district, its name Keferdiz was changed to "Doğanyol" with a decree of the Council of Ministers signed on December 19, 1963.
