Doğubayazıt
Doğubayazıt, or formerly known as Bayazıt (Kurdish: Bazîd, Armenian: ձրշակավան, romanized: Arşakavan), is a district of Ağrı province, the center of the same district, and the former center of Bayazıt province, whose name was changed to Ağrı after the center was moved to Karaköse. It was established in the east of Anatolia, on the European E-road E80 transit route. It is connected to Ağrı and 93 km east of the Central district, 35 km away from Iran. District lands are generally hilly and high. The district center was established on a plain. It is the oldest, historical district of Ağrı. It was founded in the southeast of the plain that bears its name.
