Dursunbey
Dursunbey is the largest district of Balıkesir province in terms of area. It is located in the east of Balıkesir, bordering Kütahya and Bursa provinces. Its height above the sea is 672 meters. The region is mountainous and famous for its forests and timber. Balıkesir-Kütahya land and railroads pass through Dursunbey. The biggest source of livelihood is forests and animal husbandry. Dursunbey pine is world famous and of high quality.
