Emet
Emet is a district of Kütahya province.
It makes an important contribution to thermal tourism with its healing hot springs. On October 17, 1993, it was declared a "Thermal Tourism Region" by the decision of the Council of Ministers. In addition, the boron mine, which has very few reserves in the world, can be mined in abundance in this district. In fact, approximately 70% of the world's boron reserves are found in Turkey, and more than 50% of the boron in Turkey is found in Emet, and this ratio has increased even more thanks to the newly discovered reserves in Emet district. In addition to these, one of the acid boric factories, of which there are not more than 10 in the world, continues its activities in this district. Emet district, the capital of boron, makes great contributions to Turkey strategically and economically due to the boron mine.
