Eskipazar
Eskipazar is a district of Karabük. The ancient city of Hadrianapolis is 3 km away from Eskipazar. Eskipazar is located just off the Gerede-Karabük road. This road provides transportation to Istanbul and a large part of the Western Black Sea region. Since it is located between the Black Sea Region and the Central Anatolia Region, it has a transitional climate. The people's livelihood is based on agriculture and animal husbandry. It was a district of Çankırı until 1995, but when Karabük became a province in 1995, it was connected to it. Traditions are generally continued in Eskipazar villages. Village rooms are found in villages. People gather in these rooms for weddings, engagements and religious holidays. About Eskipazar district, it falls within the borders of the Paphlagonia region, which is the old region name of the Black Sea region. In addition, the district Hadrianapolis also bears traces of ancient settlement. According to archaeological excavations, the structures of the ancient city are estimated to be 1500 years old.
