Genç
Genç is a district of Bingöl province in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Genç district came under Ottoman rule for the first time in 1473, after the Battle of Otlukbeli. At that time, the district was connected to neighboring provinces, sanjaks and states; In 1881, it was connected to Bitlis province. After the proclamation of the Republic, it became the provincial center between 1924-1927. Between 1927-1936, it was turned into a district of Elazığ province. In 1936, it was connected to Bingöl after Bingöl became a province.
