İncirliova
In the 13th century BC, when Hittite rule was lifted from the region, the following were added to the region; Phrygians, Lydians, Ionians, Persians, Alexander the Great, Romans and Byzantines dominated. Although it was taken back by the Byzantines for a while in 1096, it was definitely taken under Turkish rule by Menteşe Bey in 1280. The lands under the rule of Aydınoğulları in 1310, were conquered by II in 1426. It was definitely annexed to the Ottoman Empire by Murad. In the 1400s, during the Ahiler period, a group of people came and laid the foundation of Incirliova by the Madanoğlu family, who settled in Saray Çukur (According to a rumor, Kazma Çukur), today's name Kardeşköy. The people of that time, who spread around their place due to agriculture and animal husbandry, used to call this place Karapınar because it was wet; Over time, when the swamps dried up and fig trees began to grow in their place, it was named Incirliova in 1934. Incirliova gained district status with the law no. 3392 dated July 4, 1987. The first district governor of the district is Fevzi Güneş. Its economy is based on agriculture and related industrial enterprises. It has a say throughout the country, especially in vegetable growing. It is in great development in greenhouse cultivation and honey production. In addition to cattle farming, poultry farming and egg farming have been developing in recent years. There are 18 primary schools, 10 secondary schools, 5 high schools including Incirliova Sports High School and 4 kindergartens in the district. There are Incirliova Belediyespor and Incirliova Acarlarspor sports clubs in the district. As of 2022-2023, İncirliova Belediyespor has become the champion in the Aydın Super Amateur League and has the right to move up to the next league.
