Karlıova

Karlıova is a district in Bingöl province. The district has 1 municipality and 47 villages. The number of neighborhood mukhtar offices is 6. It joined the lands of Islamic States during the time of Caliph Omar. After winning the 1514 Battle of Çaldıran, it joined the Ottoman lands. After the proclamation of the Republic, the settlement, which was connected to Muş until 1936, was connected as a district with this newly established province after Bingöl became a province. With the election held, it was unanimously accepted to change its name to Karlıova.
