Koçarlı is a district of Aydın province in the Aegean Region. Koçarlı, 22 km away from Efeler district; It is surrounded by Söke, Germencik, İncirliova, Efeler, Çine, Karpuzlu and Milas districts. It is rumored that he came from Kaçkar or Kaçgarlı, one of the first settlements. Another view comes from the evolution of the word nomads due to the Yörük communities that settled in the region. While Koçarlı, which was a sub-district in the last years of the Ottoman Empire, was a municipality, it became a central village and remained a village until 1946, due to the population requirement required for the establishment of a municipality in accordance with Law No. 1580, which came into force during the Republic Administration, and the population of Koçarlı at that time was below 2000. It became a district on April 1, 1946 and a municipal organization was established. Cotton and olives form the basis of the district's economy. Livestock farming, fig, chestnut and greenhouse flower cultivation were also developed. It also contributes significantly to the economy with its agricultural tools and machinery, pickling houses and olive oil factories. The livelihood of the people in forest villages is pine nuts. In addition, cotton, wheat, barley, corn, vegetables, olives and various fruits constitute the economy of the district.
