Narman
Narman is a district of Erzurum province. There are 45 neighborhoods in Narman. Aşık Sümmani, who left his mark on Turkish Folk Literature with his works, is from Narman.
While it was a district center of Tortum district, it was transformed into a municipality on November 24, 1952. The old name of Narman district was Mamervân. This name was used until the last periods of the Ottoman Empire; so much so that it is seen in the state archives that the name of the district was used in this way in official documents until the 1300s Hijri.
