Nizip
Nizip is a district of Gaziantep.
It is the largest district of Gaziantep province. Agriculture and agriculture-based industry is highly developed in Nizip district. It is located in the Middle Euphrates Section. As the climate, the Mediterranean climate[3] is dominant. citrus, olive, palm, etc. Mediterranean plants grow easily in the district. Summers are hot and dry, winters are cool and rainy. Frost and snow events are rare. Pistachio and Olive gardens are common. Pistachio and Olive Fruits collected from these gardens cannot be put on the market without processing. There are more than 100 medium-sized factories and enterprises to process them. The aroma and smell of olives grown in the continental climate are very intense. Olives collected in Nizip district have a unique aroma. Soaps made from this olive oil are famous. In the 1960s, 90% of Turkey's soap need was produced in the soap factories in Nizip district. Zeugma, also known as Belkıs ruins, is 8 km away from the district.
