Pınarhisar
Pınarhisar is a district of Kırklareli province.
In 1368, Pınarhisar, which was taken from the Byzantines by Gazi Mihal during the reign of Murad I, is one of the historical cities of Kırklareli. It was occupied by the Russians during the Ottoman-Russian War of 1877-1878, and a large part of the Balkan War took place here. It was occupied by the Bulgarians in 1912 and was taken back on July 23, 1913. After the First World War, it was occupied by the Greeks and taken back on November 8, 1922. In 1911, it became a district, in 1915 it became a parish again, and in 1953 it became the present district.
