Sinanpaşa
Sinanpaşa, formerly Sincanlı, is a district of Afyonkarahisar province. It is located between Afyonkarahisar - Uşak and Afyonkarahisar - Antalya highways, 33 km from the city center. It became a district in 1953. It is an important center dating back to the Hittite period, founded under the name of Cidyessuz, at the junction of the ancient roads, traces of which are visible today, with east-west and north-south extensions on the plain that bears its name. It has been revealed as a result of historical researches that the district is a settlement that has been the scene of various civilizations from 4000 BC to the present day. Surveys conducted in Küçükhöyük Town, located in the middle of the Sincanlı plain, indicate that people settled there around 3000 BC. Our region, which was under the rule of the Hittites, Romans, Byzantines in time, XII. century, passed into the hands of the Turks. There are 40 primary schools and 3 secondary schools in the district. 7,299 students studying in these schools are trained by 305 teachers. The Directorate of Public Education Center provides trainees with machine embroidery, clothing, practical indoor electrical installation, computer operators, handicrafts, floristry, literacy and typist skills in vocational courses. In the Apprenticeship Training Center in the district, training is given in various branches, especially in joinery, furniture, auto electricity, auto engine repair, radio-TV repair, welding and pastry.
