Sivrihisar
Sivrihisar is the largest district of Eskişehir. It is claimed that very important Turkish greats such as Nasreddin Hodja, Yunus Emre, Aziz Mahmut Hüdai, Hızır Bey originated from this district. It is 120 kilometres from Ankara and 90 kilometres from Eskişehir. Before 1926, it was a district of Ankara.
Sivrihisar came under Ottoman rule in 1289. After a while, Osman Bey gave the administration of Sivrihisar and the whole Eskisehir region to his brother Gündüz Bey.
