Sumbas
Sumbas is a district of Osmaniye province. Sumbas municipality emerged on December 11, 1991 as a result of the merger of Karaömerli and Düğenli villages of Kadirli district and the establishment of a municipal organization under the name of "Sumbas". On October 24, 1996, when Osmaniye was made a province with the law numbered 4200, the town of Sumbas became a district.
With its orange groves, cotton fields, cold water flowing through canals, fig trees, cactus trees lining the road, it looks more like a village than a district. Livestock and agriculture provide the livelihood of the people. For this purpose, the dam established in the town of Mehmetli is used for irrigation purposes.
