Tepebaşı
Tepebaşı is a district of Eskişehir. Tepebaşı Municipality building Tepebaşı Municipality, which serves under the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, was established as the first level Municipality in accordance with the "Decree Law No. 504 on the Establishment of Metropolitan Municipalities in Seven Provinces" published in the Official Gazette No. 21693 dated September 9, 1993. In accordance with the Law No. 5747 dated 06.03.2008 on the Establishment of Districts within the Borders of Metropolitan Municipalities and Amendments to Certain Laws, it became a district status and the legal entities of Çukurhisar and Muttalip Town Municipalities were abolished and connected to the district. Tepebaşı is located in the north of the Porsuk Stream, which divides Eskişehir into two in the east-west direction. Surp Yerrortutyun Armenian Church, built here in the 19th century, is today used as the Zübeyde Hanım Cultural Center. Anadolu University, one of the three universities in the city, and Eskişehir Technical University are located within the borders of Tepebaşı. Additionally, Türkiye Lokomotiv and Engine Industry Inc. was established in 1894. (TÜLOMSAŞ), Eskişehir Sugar Factory, one of the first factories of the Republic of Turkey, and TUSAŞ Aviation and Space Industries Inc., which produces technology in the design, development, manufacturing, integration and modernization of air platforms. (TAI), various brick-tile factories and flour factories, which are among the traditional industrial sectors, and the 5 largest Shopping Centers of the province are also located within the borders of Tepebaşı.
