Termal
Termal is a district of Yalova province. The town of Termal, the district center, is 12 km from Yalova city. It takes its name from the thermal springs here.
It is an important tourism center that hosts many tourists in its world-famous thermal springs.

Termal district is a new settlement. It emerged as a result of the merger of the villages of Gökçedere and Üvezpınar. These two villages, the majority of whose population consisted of Georgians, Laz and Balkan immigrants from the 93 War, were transformed into a town in 1992. When this town became a district under the name Termal in 1995, the town of Termal also became the district center. Gökçedere and Üvezpınar are today neighborhoods of the town of Termal. The majority of the population of Akköy and Yenimahalle villages of Termal district is composed of Laz people who migrated from Hopa district and Çhala valley after the War of 93 and Georgians who migrated from Maçaheli region.
