Tirebolu
Tirebolu is a district of Giresun province. Giresun, the provincial center, has borders with Doğankent, Espiye, Görele and Güce districts to the east, on the Black Sea coast, and the provincial center is 45 km away from Giresun. The history of Tirebolu, which stands out with its rich history as well as its natural beauties, dates back to the 7th century BC. The name Tirebolu comes from the Greek Tripolis, meaning Three Cities. It can be thought that this was placed because of the three castles in the city. In ancient Greek-Latin texts, the name of the settlement is written as Tripolis, and among the people in the center it is called Tiriboli or Tiribolu.
