Türkeli

Türkeli is a district in the west of Sinop province, on the border of Kastamonu, on the Black Sea coast. While Türkeli was previously affiliated with Ayancık, it gained district status in 1957. Today, there is 1 sub-district (Güzelkent) and 31 villages in the district. Located in the Kızılırmak Basin, Türkeli District is a district at the foothills of the İsfendiyar Mountains, with its inner parts covered with forest areas. In the Agriculture Master Plan, most of the district's lands located in the I. agro-ecological sub-region, which covers the coastal area, are in the VI and VII. class consists of agricultural lands.
