Ümraniye

Ümraniye is one of the districts of Istanbul province. It is the fifth most populous district of Istanbul in terms of population and the second most populous district of the Anatolian Side, after Pendik. The district consists of 35 neighborhoods. It has a residential area of 22 thousand hectares. It is surrounded by Üsküdar from the west, Ataşehir from the south, Sancaktepe from the east, Çekmeköy from the northeast and Beykoz from the northwest. Ümraniye is one of the fastest urbanizing and rapidly increasing population districts of Istanbul. Ümraniye is a very rich region in terms of economic diversity, ranging from small manufacturing industry to clothing, spare parts and wood products production.
