Yedisu

Yedisu is a district of Bingöl province. The district has a historical background of 250 years. Until 1951, it was known as Çerme village and after 1951, it took its place in the administrative division as Çerme sub-district of Kiğı district. In 1970, it was named Yedisu because of the fountain built by the YSE Directorate in the center of Çerme and containing seven taps. Yedisu district was established with the "Law on the Establishment of 130 Districts" dated May 9, 1990 and numbered 3644, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated May 20, 1990 and numbered 20523.
