Yenice
Yenice is a district of Karabük. Due to its geographical structure, the district has very rugged terrain and very dense forest areas. Filyos Stream and İncedere Stream pass through the middle of the district center. There are many monumental trees and many tree species in its forests, with heights and diameters well above the standards. It also has uninterrupted forests with no settlements, called the "forest sea". - According to the 2020 address-based census, the central population of the district, which appears to have had a large amount of immigration, is 9,306 and its total population is 20,116 people. There are 11 neighborhoods in the district center, 1 town and 34 villages. The district has been experiencing intense migration since the 1990s due to the decrease in job opportunities and lack of new investments due to privatization. The population of the district center becomes denser in the summer months due to Yenice residents coming from abroad and other cities who have not cut off their ties yet. Yenice is mostly known for its trees.
