Yenişehir
Yenisehir is a district of Bursa province. It is located in the east of Bursa and 52 km from Bursa city center. Bursa's international airport is within the borders of Yenisehir. Therefore, the airport is referred to as "Yenişehir Airport".
Although the economy of the district is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, it started to industrialize with YOSAB (Yenişehir Organized Industrial Zone) established by Yenişehir Municipality in 2004. It is the first district of Bursa especially in agricultural product exports. Tomato and pepper cultivation is world famous. For this reason, the Golden Pepper Festival is an event held every year in September, dedicated to the liberation of Yenişehir.
The region has a mild Marmara climate.
It is located close to Inegol and Iznik. Some of the people of Yenişehir go to Bursa and İnegöl to work. Yenişehir is neighboring Kestel in the west, İnegöl in the south, İznik in the north, Orhangazi in the northwest and Bilecik in the east. The total population of the district is 54.315.
